2010 Award Show Season Must-Haves, You Can Have Too!
Posted February 3, 2010
on:This Award Show Season, the biggest red carpet trends were amazing clutch purses, big earrings, and modern yet feminine silhouettes. What all of these also had in common were the glamorous sparkly details. No longer considered cheesy, or pageant-only attire, it’s quite obvious that wearing something sparkly is a modern, sophisticated look that’s here to stay.
Keeping her sparkle factor minimal, Carrie Underwood paired this beautiful white dress with a Swarovski-studded clutch.
The Grammys Show is known to have a more outrageous dress code than most awards shows and Lady Gaga topped everyone in that department. She did this with five couture outfits provided by Armani Prive, making each one an elaborate spectacle. In a green glitter body suit number, she dueted with Elton John who joined the sparkle parade and accessorized with totally amazing Swarovski-encrusted glasses (a must-have for men now too!)
In this extreme Cinderella outfit she wore a corseted bodice and Swarovski crystal scattered tights teamed up with crystallized shoes and bright yellow hair. Not your average Grammy outfit, but it wasn’t the Swarovski crystals that made this outfit over the top.
It is safe to say that if you go with a glittery outfit, keep it simple with your accessories and vice versa.
This award show season, Glittery dresses in metallics, blacks, and neutrals were also a must-have, and Taylor Swift definitely got it right with these beautiful metallic blue gown.
Celebrities always prove that there is always a new way to originate a unique yet classy look, and it’s all about the right combination and the right accessories. And remember, you don’t have to run to the nearest couture boutique to get these looks, it is actually really easy and possible to do yourself.
Stay tuned to know how!
